Places to Visit on a Movie Journey

If you are a movie buff or just have a favorite movie you have seen many many times you may have thought of visiting the sites where some of these movies are filmed. There are prob thousands of movies from drama to horror to documentaries which means there are that many different places to visit.

One of the most popular movie sites visited every year is from the movie Ferris Buller’s Day Off. Most of the movie was filmed in Chicago although not all of it. In the movie you can see Chicago landmarks such as the Tribune Tower and the LaSalle Street Cannon. Also a very important part of the movie is the parking garage in which they leave their sports car in the movie. It can be seen on West Madison Street at Wells Street just beneath the train station.

Another popular movie site people visit is from the movie Home Alone. People constantly visit the house where main character Kevin lived although a real family does live inside. The Home Alone house is located in Illinois just north of Chicago in a town called Winnetka. Not far from the house is the place where Kevin visited Santa asking for his family back. The church Kevin visited quite a few times in the movie is located a few cities away.
